When local married female residents expressed a desire to be able to converse with foreign artists and visitors attending the Setouchi International Art Festival, Archipelago director Haruyo Horio obliged them by beginning an English conversation class this June to help them develop their language skills. Held once a month, these lessons proceed at a leisurely pace - but class participants are having a very good time trying out their English!
